Welcome to Oral Microbiome Database
The Oral Microbiome Database contains the 16S rDNA sequences of core oral microbiome and microbiota. It was designed to identify single bacteria or microbial communities from clinical samples. The website can sequence queries or sequences of microbial communities against the database.
What it contains:
289 bacteria strains from human oral;
720 microbial community sample from human oral; (In progress)
How the database query performs:
The single bacteria sequences query is processed by BLAST alignment.
The microbial community query is processed by Meta-Storms database engine (Su, et al., Bioinformatics, 2012)
The database and website is a joint project of State Key Laboratory of Oral Diseases (Sichuan University), West China of Stomatology and Single Cell Center of QIBEBT, CAS.
